I'm so glad you showed us your beautiful tulips. I have yet to get mine, but seeing yours on the window sill is motivation. You have the best quotes and you match them up with your photos perfectly. Winters are always my testing times when my limits are stretched. February is my longest month, so it's time to bring some spring in. :) Thank you for the idea.
Fifth shot is my favorite! Well, they say that everything and everyone has their price, and I see you just paid retail for summer! A good bargain if I do say so!!
Tulips are my favorite flower. I planted a circle of them one summer. Then one lovely sunny afternoon, with a badminton in hand, my two tiny little girls 3 1/2 yrs old, swung at each and everyone of them. I stood in the window watching, with a smile, their whimsical adventure in my garden.
Thank you for that beauty. I love the crispness of your photos yet the soft edges of the petals. Such beauty with the flowers against the snow--like they are looking out on the scene that will change soon.
The shape and warm colour of the tulips against the crisp, white snow back-drop is inspiring. I love tulips - they have special family associations, particularly with the Netherlands.
Oh beautiful tulips dripping with Spring!!! My heart beats a little faster with each photo:) Altogether lovely, this post and your heart. Love, Jennifer
Tulips... and pink ones too... my faves! ;o) These are so pretty, Susan. Sometimes in the depths of winter we just have to go to the florist and splurge on a bouquet to lift winter-dented spirits. Almost March...surely spring will be with us soon?! Happy week, my friend ((HUGS))
These flowers are beautiful. Seems like every one is looking forward to spring. There is a Japanese tulip in our front yard that has had buds since early January. Now every one is opening, ande surely there will come another freez and you know what that means. No more flowers.
all of the photos are stunning and i like all the different persepctives ending with the whole vase against the snow outside. beautiful words and oh so true

Yes, "an invincible summer."
The tulips are stunning. Isn't God a magnificent artist?
Those are beautiful flowers. I love tulips, partly because of their promise of Summer!

and worth every penny ! Without that invincible summer within, life would look rather bleak in the depths of winter.
Lovely inspiration from your beautiful tulips.

Ah, that pink is surely surreal this time of year.
Blessings.

Rather delightful to think that we can "buy" a little spring.
I wasn't expecting Camus to be the author of the quote.
Love both photos and quote, which seems somehow particularly apt for YOU... I would describe you as someone who had within, an invincible summer...
I love tulips. So pretty!
such a heart cheering sight!
In the spring... becomes a rose.
How beautiful the hope of spring while snow is still on the ground.
Oh how you just blessed me - pink tulips are my favorite.... next to pink roses!! These are gorgeous!
Ahhh, you brought and bought some beauty in, too. :)
What a beautiful moment and thought!

Love this one, Susan -- the title "Buying Spring..." and that Camus quote...awesome.
Beautiful Susan......they remind me of lipstick, that wonderful color, love the contrast with the snow on number five! Gorgeous. Lori
