Most Assuredly ~

assuredly
 the grass withers
the word of the Lord
stands forever
*  *  *
I have always looked upon decay
 as being just as wonderful and
 rich an expression of
 life as growth.

Sculpture Walk ~

My son and I
had a little extra time
after an appointment in Bemidji
 so he drove around
the downtown area so I
 could see some
of the sculptures along
 unfortunately
 I didn't get the names
of the artists or their sculptures
this is a sampling of some
of the work displayed
*  *  *
the mural behind the deer sculpture
 is painted on the wall of the
which is a Bemidji landmark
as is the classic
Paul Bunyan and Babe
 the blue ox

What Do You See? ~

Faith sees a beautiful blossom in a bulb,
 a lovely garden in a seed,

Wither Not ~

"There is an eternal love between
 the water drop and the leaf.
When you look at them,
you can see that they
 both shine
 out of happiness."
Mehmet Murat ildan

And he shall be like a tree
 planted by the rivers of water,
 that brings forth his fruit in his season;
 his leaf also shall not wither;
 and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psalm 1:3

A profusion of pink roses
 being ragged in the rain
 speaks to me of all

Guarded Time ~

"Guard well your spare moments.
 They are like uncut diamonds.
Discard them and their value will never be known.
 Improve them and they will become the
 brightest gems in a useful life."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Nature's Laughter ~

A light wind
 swept
 over the corn
 and all nature
 laughed in the sunshine.

The Coming Season ~

 One of the great lessons
 the fall of the leaf teaches, is this:
 Do your work well
 and then be ready to depart
 when God shall call.”
Tryon Edwards
