Most Assuredly ~

assuredly
 the grass withers
the word of the Lord
stands forever

A Little Stroll ~

I have a friend visiting
and we took a little stroll
 along the driveway
 and checked
 the progress of
 the milkweed
food for the monarchs
and observed the other
wild grasses blooming
in between the rain showers
*  *  *
it was a very fine day

In Sync ~

"Starlight and comet tails burned
 the tips of
 endless grass below into
 hammered silver.
Like thousands of tapers in the chapel
just blown out but still glowing.
If one could drown in the grass
it might be
the best way to die."
 Gregory Maguire

that
for which you seek

Quietness ~

may your day
be
filled
with peace

and
in quietness
may
you find strength
