that I may know Him
[that I may progressively become
more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him,
perceiving and recognizing and understanding
the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly]

He looks like he's got his little arms wrapped around him to stay warm. Looks like not *all* the good stuff is in the ditches, Susan -- much of it is in your back yard. ;-)
(And, I do love to read from the Amplified. Expands my understanding in small but huge ways.)
Beautiful passage and the sweetest pic. Blessings to you this Sunday!
Verses which we all need to follow.Thanks.
That yellow-orange coloring in the squirrel's coat and tail seem unusual. We have mostly deep brown and black squirrels here.
Image is well-paired with the quote.
The pic and scripture are perfect together
Such a sweet picture Susan. His little face is indeed set like flint - a beautiful example I need to follow.
Don't you think it interesting that the word "deter" is part of the word determination? I am so easily deterred by life's uncertainties when my response should setting my face "to flint"---determined to stand in Truth.
You always bless me friend.
Thanks for sharing that, Dea. I hadn't thought of it, but it is so true.
Maureen, most of our squirrels are either the small red ones, or the larger gray ones. The kids have seen a black one on occasion, but I haven't.
What a cute little fellow. I love the words with this photograph, very appropriate. Blessings to you :)
I really pondered these words as I read them, and I'm asking myself if this is my determined purpose, and if so, how am I living that out? A great verse to ponder and apply.
What a wonderful, perfect picture. The colors, the shape of what he is sitting on. What IS he sitting on, anyway? It looks a bit like some kind of water pump, does remind one of a flint like surface! And his tail is beautiful.
It is part of an old water pump, Ginny.
If only we were as determined about our spiritual growth as the squirrels are about their food, the world would be full of spiritual giants......
As you know, the Lord has put messages in my heart and instructions and I've had my face "flinted"... AND I'm a bit "squirrely" at times. Maybe this post should be one of my main personality aspects.
I love the anticipation of seeing a word from you in my blog list, and then coming here to find out how you have expressed that word through your amazing eyes and creativity.
I never leave disappointed.
heartwarming little soul. uplifting words too. happy day to you Susan.
determined to know Him, that in itself is the path for those that see Him, sometimes I am not so determined, am I so surprised then that I can't feel Him near me, terrific scripture to contemplate for the week
Beautiful combo! Do you live in an isolated area?
That is a very great purpose.
Very sweet image, Susan, he look as determined as a squirrel can be in winter. ;o) Happy Week ((HUGS))
Your pictures and words are always inspirational, but I find myself wanting to know your personal story of faith. Have I missed this narrative on your blog?
thank you for yet another perfect verse with a photo, he does look cold to me and so cute.
I agree with Louise
...I always get a happy little jump
inside when I come to your name
and the teaser
in my blogroll:)

Hugs, Linda
Cute and profound. All at once. :)
Kass, I will email you a bit more of the story.
'Just beautiful sweetie. Think what a wonderful world this would be if we all faced the life God has set for us with the determination of this cute little fella!
God bless your week beautiful lady!
I have never seen a squirrel look so resolute.
Like flint, indeed. Thanks!
Your squirrels are just adorable!

Ju-North, I live in a rural area surrounded by woods.
