This is absolutely mesmerising. I don't know what it is about it, it feels like a child's story that is held dear into old age, like a Disney film or a favourite bedtime story you've heard a thousand times. It's wonderful in the true sense of the word, timeless.
Lucille, the deer are white-tailed deer. These photos are taken through my bedroom window. The deer are at the edge of the woods which is about 40 feet away.
What a sweet story you have made out of these wonderful pictures! I'm glad to see that the deer looks very well fed!! Ours around here are skin and bones.
