Love Come Down ~

Finding Him
    in hidden
       obscure
         ordinary

Finding Him
    in still
       quiet
       waiting

Finding Him
     in love
     no longer
     hidden

  Love
  come down

Finding Him
    because by Him
    we weren't unfound

On The Edge ~

of the woods

 You only need sit still
 long enough
 in some attractive spot
 in the woods
 that
 all its inhabitants
 may exhibit themselves
 to you by turns
Thoreau
: : :
I know and am acquainted
 with all the birds of the mountains
 and the wild animals
 of the field are
 Mine and are
 with Me
 in My mind

A Time of Listening ~

Advent
the time to listen
for footsteps
you can't hear footsteps
when you're
running yourself
Bill McKibben

but as for me
I watch in hope for
the Lord
I wait for God
my Savior
my God will hear me

Secrets ~

"Hold thy peace, dear little Pearl!"

whispered her mother.

"We must not always talk
in
the marketplace

 of what happens
to us
in the forest."

difficult

to stay
on
top of things

Just Wondering ~

who
is this arm-weary
lady
tugging reticent frost-bitten
plants
from
the ground
and
why doesn't she seek warmth
from
the autumn-chilled air
before the sun
disappears
he
wondered
as he braved a closer
look
at the crest of the hill

"it's you"
"you're the why"
her heart
quietly smiled
in reply
~ ~ ~
he thought it best
to return
to the others
at the edge of the woods

and it's all of you who visit
here
who make my heart smile as well

Watching ~

in the warm glow
of
the kitchen

thinking
of
supper

I
glance
through the window

and see
him

he doesn't
see me

yet

but somehow he knows

someone's watching

another day

a
similar time

I
see her

she doesn't
see me

yet

but somehow she knows

someone's watching

I go
about my days

I
can't see Him

yet

but
I know

Someone's watching

and

guarding me

in
all of my ways

~ ~ ~

You gave me life
and
showed me kindness,
and
in your providence
watched over my spirit.
Job 10:12 NIV

Listening ~

"I know
you
believe

you understand
what
you think I said

but
I'm not sure
you
realize
that
what you heard

is
not
what I meant"

am
I
alone
in this?

Tagged ~

When I paid a visit to Jeanne at Daily Reflections from Atwater Pond
  I noticed that I had been tagged to provide a photo.
~ these were the guidelines ~

1. Open your first photo folder
2. Scroll to your 10th photo
3. Post that exact photo with its story
4. After you've done that, tag 5 people to play along.

I had been hoping to purchase a digital camera for quite some time.
Finally, in January of 2008, a friend provided the impetus I needed
to take the plunge.
He told me about a sale Kodak was having that seemed too good to pass up.
Unfortunately, a lot of my early photos were lost
when my computer decided to delete them
for whatever reason computers use
to perform
non-requested tasks.
I was able to rescue this one from an email I had sent.
It is one of the first photos
I took
and
I was hooked when I saw her little pink tongue sticking out.
It was taken through my BR window.
It is the only time
a deer has come this close
to the BR.
You may have to enlarge
the photo
{by clicking on it}
to see her tongue.

I would like to pass the fun along
to the following
five people

While you wait ~

when
the
unexpected
alights
address
the
issue
then
with patience
carry on
before
your know it
it
will
be gone
~ ~ ~
Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.
Ecclesiastes 7:8
~~~
clicking on the photos
will enlarge them
so
you can see
the little bird
on the deer's rump
Take time ~
When life is out of focus
and
time is rushing by
Take a moment ...
And nourish one another ...
