Great job with the gray scale. I love the look and feel, antique almost. And the quote goes well with it.

The frost on the trees and fence-lines the last few days has been stunningly beautiful. You've captured it well here.

I do have a tough time remembering when to be "silent". Good reminder!
And Lovely photo.

The Desiderata used to be so popular in the 60's. Silence just goes hand in hand with snow. Unless the plow is coming by!

snow is quiet
in it's falling
even when
the wind
keeps howling

Your pictures are always beautiful and in your few words you always touch our hearts. Just as there is peace in silence, there is much wisdom in your words.

WONDERFUL words for this moment in time, Susan... Hope this finds you having a cozy Christmas holiday. We’re just emerging from some very festive days just now. Later in the week is my birthday–hubby’s taking me out to lunch. Then we ring in New Year already–it’s a great time just now! Happy Days, my friend ((HUGS))

Desiderata was one of my father's favourite pieces. Recently, a client at the homeless shelter where I work met my eldest daughter (she interviewed him for the Christmas WishList). He gave me a copy of the Desiderata he had carefully copied out to give her.

Thanks for this beautiful reminder of the power of its words. The image is stunning.
