they do have very
fluffy tails :-)
As they say....Laughter is the best medicine! :-)
I think He must have been having fun of one sort or another...how else to explain the whimsical way of squirrels and their tails?! I just love squirrel, and watching them. When we lived in the city, we were actually near a wood, and a red female squirrel would visit our balcony daily for food we put out for squirrels and birds. We know it was a "she" as one year we were witness to her pregnancy. Where we are now, there isn't much wildlife to witness up close...I miss that. Thanks for this sweet post today, Susan! :o) Hope you're having a great weekend ((HUGS))
Charming, Susan.
adorable photos of that little critter. i too will listen for His laughter this day. xox
I'm quite sure God has a sense of humor and the squirrels are proof of that.

These are a few of my favorite things!
I was away this past week and spent this early Sunday morning catching up with bloggers. Reading yours set the tone for my entire day. Thank you for sharing God's creatures and your words with us.
And what a wonderful sound God's laughter must be. Pure joy!!
I do suspect that God has a pretty good sense of humor! :)
what a fun thought to think of God laughing. i like that.
fantastic shots - i think squirrels and their tails are cute.
Cute pictures - love the new header and adore the thought of God laughing with us.
an exciting thought!
just love this...
Squirrels are a lot of fun to watch. Especially when they try and eat fron those suet feeders.
Good post Susan.
It's amazing that it can be the smallest of things that bring us such joy; we can watch the antics of a squirrel, listen to the song of a bird, touch the fur of a kitten, taste the freshness of a strawberry and smell the air in the spring and feel love.
There must have been a lot of love and joy the day the squirrel was made! :)
Oh my friend when you do that YOU will have a day filled with grace.
Love the squirrels God created.
oh, I love this... I love to consider that laugh-light in His eyes.
Beautiful squirrel :)
Yes, yes. Wonderful word and photographic images.
yes...he was laughing....and thinking of a way to keep them balanced and warm all at the same time....god is amazing like that !
Mmmmm, delightful to think about, and yes, I have to agree with you now that I think about it...
I just went back and read this aloud and gosh it sounds good! Beautiful prose Susan!
yes laughter is such an intricate part of my day...some times easier than others, but working with preschoolers it is a given!
love that sassy squirrel!
i LOVE these words! thank you
I am going to show my mum these shots you've taken. She has a number of squirrels that visit her on a daily basis, and they are quite spoiled with nuts and sunflower seeds.
My kids love to laugh at the squirrels in our yard, fumbling at the feeder, sliding down the pole. They insist the squirrels use their tails as a blanket on their backs to keep them warm in winter. I have to say, it sort of looks like they do exactly that. My boys can even identify different squirrels who live in our yard by the look of their tails -- some are fluffier than others, apparently. Oh to have that eye for detail. I see that you do, too!

I often think of God's sense of fun when I look at penguins and puffins! He's certainly given us an amazing world.
Thank you for your words of encouragement left on my blog.
Wonderful series of photos. A little squarrel is simply adorable!
Squirrels are annoying and charming.
Great photos of them, Susan, and what a concept, God's laughter.
