"I knew a man in college who grew up in the inner city of Chicago and what he was doing in Iowa I never did figure out. But whenever he would see a jet trailing across the sky, he would stop everything he was doing and he would watch. Once, after a jet was gone and there was nothing left but the white line disappearing like a scar into the blue, he turned to me and said, 'An airplane is a miracle and I didn't give it much thought, but now and then, when I am ready to give up hope for human beings in general, and for one or two of them who are bugging me specifically, I will look to the sky and there will be one of those miracles and I will remember it's all about concentrating on the right thing.'"

The photo of the bird in the snow reminds me that we need to throw some seed out in the morning. It snowed all day here.
a miracle indeed.
THE MIRACLE OF FLIGHT=
will be enhanced greatly if we ever have peace and the miracle of safety in the world.
That is one of my favorite verses!
It is so often the little things that catch our eye and give us joy. Lovely photo.
Wow, love that story. And so so true!
What a good thing, to think of coming here, to scroll through, rest. Find beautiful things.
Thank you.
Great story and I love the picture of the sky!
you have helped me to put my mind on the right things.
Amen! Could not say it any better :)
awesome reminder...lovely photo. xox
That was a beautiful little story. Just what I needed, and a perfect example of why stories are so very important.
Amen and amen. May I remember to concentrate on the right things. So nice to meet you - thanks for blessing me with a stopover at my place.
Oh I do that too all the time. I simply LOVE planes.
This photo looks like an Angel with speed wings flew from one Cloud to the other.
Love it.
Beautiful story, indeed! I also like the photo of lovely blue sky and the white connection between two white clouds.
I'll never forget the silence in the skies right after 911. I've never complained about the sounds of planes since. The way this flight line seemingly connects the two clouds a true connection between man and nature.
