The Bottle ~

You number and record my wanderings;
put my tears into Your bottle -- are they not in your book?
Psalm 56:8

Seeing Red ~

it's
said

there will be
snow

today

no
measurable amount

at least
that's
what they said

but
just in case
here's
a little shot
of autumn's flaming red

A Change ~

“Find beauty
not only
in the thing itself

 but
in the pattern of the shadows,
the light and dark

which that thing provides.”
Junichiro Tanizaki

A Path ~

it probably doesn't lead anywhere."

Just Wondering ~

who
is this arm-weary
lady
tugging reticent frost-bitten
plants
from
the ground
and
why doesn't she seek warmth
from
the autumn-chilled air
before the sun
disappears
he
wondered
as he braved a closer
look
at the crest of the hill

"it's you"
"you're the why"
her heart
quietly smiled
in reply
~ ~ ~
he thought it best
to return
to the others
at the edge of the woods

this is part of LL Barkat's
please
feel free to join her
~ ~ ~
and it's all of you who visit
here
who make my heart smile as well

For the Hard Places ~

may you
bloom

and
bear light

as
you
pass through
the
hard places

Gratitude ~

my
grandson
riding
his bike over
on
a
chilly October day

just one
of
the multitude
of things
I am
grateful
for

October's Blue ~

written
by
Helen Hunt Jackson

 these brilliant blue
October days
bring
precious memories
of my mother
and
this poem
that
she taught
to
her elementary pupils
