I had a woodpecker in the back yard yesterday afternoon. There were lots of seeds sitting on top of the snow for him but he was pecking through the snow to get the seeds under the snow. Funny huh? I got a couple of pictures of him through my bedroom window but of course he flew away when I went outside. He was cute.
It's so wonderful that some birds stay with us through the winter to entertain us!
The photos are great as well as the words... very inspiring and well complimented!!!:D

Beautiful detail and color.
And it's not just "open your mouth;" it's "open your mouth wide." He wants to give us so much.

I know this bird has a different name, a finch of some sort, but I've always referred to it as the strawberry bird.
Wow! It's a great photo. You are one great photographer.

Amazing picture and wonderful pairing!
I so enjoy coming here to read your words and see the lovely images you give us.
What is this bird called? It looks like a finch but I have never seen one with such amazing plumage. It's not in my I-Spy book!
it's a purple finch ... they add such color to winter's gray
oh! how amazing your shot is..how thankful he looks too!
Lovely verse for a lovely picture. Great capture. I'm working on the steps you asked for...
