"God is an unutterable sigh,
planted in the depths of the soul."
Jean Paul

Likewise the Spirit helps
us in our weakness;
for we do not know how
to pray as we ought, but
the
Spirit himself
intercedes for us
with sighs
too deep for words.
Romans 8:26

I am so grateful those sighs of the Spirit. So often I am left speechless, not knowing how to pray.
The pictures are magnificent Susie. They make me sigh with pleasure.
"With sighs too deep for words." This always brings me so much comfort. Thanks for the reminder!
Grateful for this post this evening.
Beautiful! Both pictures and words are so lovely.
Soft and dreamy, then sharp and clear. Both just as beautiful.

Whispering Hope... how I love this title. Hope does whisper doesn't it? Softly, gently, and almost silently. You have to listen carefully. Love it, as always!
I love the softness in the first two photos. I love how God is so all powerful, yet so soft and tender at the same time.
God always hears the voice of peoples!
Ah, Susan, this is so lovely! Do you remember the old song that shares your title?? I've been thinking about that song a lot the last few months - it was one my mom and her sister used to sing as a duet at family gatherings. Until, I am ashamed to say, their children basically booed them off the stage. Sigh. Kids can be dumb . . .and mean. I'd give a lot to hear them sing it now, I'll tell you. Thanks so much for this.
~ Beautiful ~
The title of your post today is perfect with the quotes ... and I do adore the top two shots. The colours of those daffodils are really lovely.

Perfect thoughts to go with your photos---as always. :) I will go back and read again---now.
Also---I just read this to my husband---he wrote it down to send to a friend who is in a battle for his life----however, his spirit is ready to go on. Thank you--
Diana, yes, I do remember it well as my mother used to play it on the piano and my uncle would sing it. The words have been on my mind so much lately.
Nava, I'm glad you were able to share this with a friend.
How beautiful and reassuring.
God bless your weekend.
The light in your photos here and below is fantastic!!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
A wonderful reminder... and the photos are lovely, too. Thanks for this, Susan.
Love your post and your header!
God hears every whispered prayer, every sigh of the Spirit. Delicately soft image of those daffodils, Susan.
I agree with the others- the part that speaks to me "with sighs too deep for words." Amen.
