take turns talking
{you may want to click on the photos to enlarge}
be kind to one another
put your coat on
it's
cold outside
a few facts
may just be a portion
of the truth
of the truth
don't talk with your mouth full
don't bite off
more
than you can chew
when the going
gets
tough
hang in there

what are some of your
life lessons

I think God gave us animals to teach us lessons.
This, too, shall pass.
This is just wonderful. You definitely have a knack for taking great pictures!
I have learned a life lesson from watching the humble dung beetles. They work so hard and never get distracted from their "mission."
Wonderful! What a day at the farm! I love those fuzzy cows. Well, they're all gorgeous. Thanks for making me smile.
Each one of these is great.I like how you put the pictures and words together, they make me smile.

Well, you outdid yourself with this post!! Love the photos and the advice!
oh you made me chuckle with these ...how about treat others as you want to be treated...
People are more important than anything else in this world. They're the only thing you can take with you into the next.
Pray first - talk later.
A lesson I'm forever trying to learn...
A wonderful menagerie.
A little zen thought from Joko Beck: "...sharp rocks are truly jewels."
This post is especially wonderful!
oh i just love the one of the horses scratching each others backs....so sweet.
happy day to you!

Life is an adventure -- you can take it with eyes closed or eyes wide open in Love.
Love does conquer all -- it's just sometimes we like to believe we're in control.
and... never ever eat ice cream driving 80 miles an hour in a convertible with the roof down.
I NEVER would have thought to pair these photos with the life lessons, it is so cool!! Your pictures are wonderful, my favorite being the second sweet one and the squirrel at the end of his rope! You are very inventive, I'll have to see if I can do something like this now.
Great post Susan - the photos reinforcing the life lesson - all of which we should have learned by kindergarten, of course - and they take a lifetime to perfect!
fun match up you did here.
the animals are all so cute.
Be Kind.
Number one life lesson for me.
Seek beauty and wonder.
Give thanks.
Do as you would be done by.
Have the courage to be who you are.
Trust in Love.
Pass the grace along and don't judge.
Smile often.
Thank yo ufor your wisdom.... And your beautiful shots :)
Beautifully executed post with a worthy conclusion :)
Wonderful. :)
Truly a classic post. My favorite by far...bravo!
I want to tell you how much I love your blog. I have never come here that i was not happy with what you post, from photos to words. because i am an animal lover, this is one of my favorites ever. sweet little sheep all sheared and pretty, cows chomping on grass, horses rubbing off flies for each other, and those beautiful, beautiful cows in the first shot are my favortie. i enlarged and studied each face and coloring. perfect for me today. i am leaving here HAPPY and smiling
Very beautiful..
Love is something that you give away and it comes back right to you..This is one lesson life is teaching me each moment I feel..
Your post is truly magical!
LOL ~ love all the animals ~ cute photos and just the right lessons to be learned.
There is so many life lessons and I think the key is to keep on learning them even as we get more... errr.... 'seasoned'... ;)
Happy Friday!

Oh, these are good lessons, Susan... and such fun photo-tie-ins! :o) One of my lessons is always find the joy--in every situation, stop and get the perspective back. Life can be tough... so we much hang in there! ;o) Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
Regarding #6: If you do bite off more than you can chew, be sure to call a friend!
Blessings.
These are fabulous! One of my life lessons ~ to enjoy the little things in life :)
Great post!
Wonderful pictures, wonderful lessons. That's why I visit here.
This is such a fun post! My favorite is the horses "being kind to one another."
And it fits very well with a verse I read this morning (and want to be, but often fail at being.)
"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient; bearing with one another in love." Ephesians 4:2
P.S. I love the little squirrel "hanging in there," too!
you are so clever!
"when life hands you lemons, make lemonade."
thanks sue for a fun post. xox
I especially like the horses! My littlest daughter just started taking riding lessons and she's in love :)
A fun way to impart some lessons. We needed some fun today.
You are so good at this... you've done such a good job of capturing "expression" in those animals.
Ummm... speak softly but carry a big stick... give away what you would like to have... and many more I need to reflect on a bit.
ha. some fun life lessons and gorgeous pictures...thanks for the warm comment over at jumping tandem...
I always love stopping by your place. I think my blood pressure just dropped while I was looking at your photos. Great reminder as well! Thanks - as always.
hold hands while you're fighting....
I appreciate the connection between His wonderful assortment of creatures
(me included) and the simple truths. Thanks!
