"Being still does not mean don't move.
It means move in peace.”
E'ven A. Gardner
* * *
today is my son's
birthday
due to the unusual
circumstances leading up
to his birth there were times
during those months that I was tempted
to fret, to worry, to stew
the words that repeatedly came to me
each time were words that
brought peace to my heart
"Be still, and know that I am God"
Psalm 46:10
he is an enormous blessing
to me and to those who
know him and his family

Sending my wishes to your son for a happy birthday. May God bless each of you.
Such a very touching post... and beautiful image.
Beautiful and heartwarming post.
I've been thinking of you for days and plan to call soon-soon.
Joanne told me a bit of your story. What a wonderful miracle you and your son are!
Happy birthday to your son and also thinking of you too, Susan. Thanks be to God. Peace be with you.
No matter their age, our children remain our babies and we worry about them always.
Hope he had a terrific birthday.

Happy Birthday to him and Still is peace for sure. we felt that yesterday when we stood very still admiring a tiny screech owl
I found myself thinking about what it means to "move in peace". I have resolved to carry those thoughts with me and into my corner of the world today.
Yes, Susan you and your ARE miracles! I have read your story and what a beautiful testament to God's amazing power, love and grace! Happy Birthday to your son and enjoy celebrating your life together today!
Stillness is such a blessing.
So true. I can use that as inspiration for today before seeing the doctor :)
A very Happy Birthday to your son, Susan. A son is truly a very, very special blessing.
:-) love
we ladies do love our sons!! happy birthday to him!!
Yes I really like that definition of being still. Gladioli were a big thing in Austraila in the 1950 s. my Mum and Dad had a garden full of them.
This brings tears to my eyes. Rejoicing with you in the blessing of your son.
Happy birthday to your son, blessings to you.
Happy Birthday to your son...what a wonderful message you give to him and your readers. Lovely.

I love "Be still and know that I am God:. I will remember this and it is timely as my art show opens tomorrow.
A very Happy Birthday to your son

Love the quote. Stillness is being without torment. Love that. Movement in the stillness of peace is strength, power, actually. The kind of thing that moves mountains. Flowers completely embody this. Nice.

Something we should all remember daily.
Congrats on your son's birthday and the special memories that go along with that.
YES! And today, while walking around and about the house and seeing the paintings we have has just filled me with appreciation and joy and rejoicing for the miraculous way in which his life came into our world...and how he is blessing so many now in so many ways. I love him very much...and still have his birth announcement card that you sent out. What a treat! And expect that you had a wonderful family time during the birthday eating time. Bless you and yours.
Wonderful thoughts as always---will take time to ponder this. My son's birthday is the 27th. :)Happy birthday to your dear son.
That's one of my favorite verses. The picture goes perfectly with it. Happy Birthday to your son.
