The Feather ~

There
are things
I find difficult
to
lay down
softly
in order
to
hear
the whisper
of
His voice
~ ~ ~
I'm not altogether sure whether this photo
followed the rule
or
broke the rule
in
photoplay challenge at HCB
but
I suspect you will enjoy
seeing the work others have submitted

And especially seeing your work too. As you know, my imagination is wild with this image.

My voice is calling God's attention to your heart, friend.

Blessings.

This is beautiful and just the softness I need.

In the harshness of life, your words and photos bring softness. . . so much like the still, quiet voice of our Heavenly Father.

Whether it broke the rule or not, it's still beautiful.

So soft and whispy---it pulls at me to place my ear near it and listen. Lovely regardless of any rules.

I understand.

I think perhaps the most difficult thing to lay down softly is a sob.

it would break the rule if you didn't break a rule, so i guess either way you break one.

:-)

beautiful shot.

Aren't rules made to be broken when it makes sense ? Made sense here - lovely soft focus, and beautiful post. Sometimes we need to be quiet amidst all the tumult around us to hear His voice.

i was so amazed that i forgot to add that you broke the rule because you filled the frame with two thirds of the focus point.

I'm with the majority, beautiful composition and beautiful light weather you broke any rules or not.

Yes I must still too, quieten my heart and simply listen.
What a beautiful reminder.

Beautiful words. Beautiful photo. I, too, have trouble being quiet. When His voice is too difficult to hear, I try to lean in and listen more closely--am I hearing His voice or my own?

Sheer pure lovely innocence.

If this is a rule breaker -- keep on breakin'!

It's beautiful.

Oh - I think it so lovely- and your words as well.
I have seen you so often when I leave comments and thought it was time I visited. I am so glad I did.

The rosebuds in your header photo are lovely. I even enjoy saying the word rosebud.

I've no idea what the "rules" are for photoplay challenge, but in my opinion there are no rules when it comes to photography.

Shhhhh....I'm listening.

Susan,
How beautiful and gentle. Just like your words and your whole page. There's a gracefulness and gentleness here. I feel the call to quiet my spirit and sit before the Lord.
I like the quote about not grieving for the things we don't have but rejoicing in what we do have. Wise.
Blessings,
Janis
