I too, have been attempting to slow down and am learning to say "no" to requests which make demands on time if I have to. I love enlarging these so that I can soak them in.

A new variety of gaillardia to me and it is stunning, especially in the light you shot it in. Have a good evening.
This statement is so true! I just want to gaze at the beauty and glory of nature. Stunning flower--I've not seen one like this.
What is this flower? I love it both in light and in the shade, its gorgeous.
I agree, hurry isn't always good. Beautiful pictures!!!
Poetic Soul - it is a fanfare gaillardia.
this is so different and absolutely spectacular, especially the second shot. I did enlarge and sat and stared at each little detail.
Sometimes we get hurrying so much we miss the beauty of the little things!
Happy Sunday!

I love those colors - it's like a sunset in a flower...
They are really quite pretty.I just have the plain ones.
The petals are like tiny individual flowers. Fanfare indeed.
Beautifully shot, as always, Susan.
Your gardens (I'm assuming they're yours) must give such enjoyment.
