Amazing pictures! There is something so special and unique about roses. You have truly captured their essence...and the thorns...there is much to reflect on in this.

Yep so true that is ! Just like a rose which can never be without a thorn, one cannot be happy all the time without having been sad.Life's a mixture of happy and sad moments.

Love your new header - and the pictures of rosy perfection are exquisite!
Thanks for the reminder that we can't have the sweetness without running the risk of the pain.

beautiful photos...unfortunately I have a cat that loves to eat fragrant flowers...he leave the ones without fragrance alone...strange isn't it??

Exquisite esp. the Morden Sunrise rose. I've never seen anything like it.
And maybe we appreciate the rose more because of the thorns?

My Mom loved rose bushes, when she passed away we sold her house and dug up her roses and planted them at our house, we dug them up again when we moved, trying to keep her roses with us. Your photo's are beautiful.

Glad to see you back, Susan. This is the perfect quotation to pair up with your gorgeous rose photos! I love the blush rose. Last night we had a church BBQ at our home and someone brought me a bouquet of lovely pink roses. I'll be using some photos on my blog, too, because there is something so beguiling about beautiful pink roses.
